In accordance with the principle of subsidiarity, the channelling of finance into these regions must be assured by the national government, which has the authority to present to the Cohesion Fund appropriate applications for funding of projects in the regions concerned, and it is the job of the Objective 1 Monitoring Committee to assess progress towards this target.
Conformément au principe de la subsidiarité, c'est au gouvernement national, compétent pour présenter au Fonds de cohésion les demandes sollicitant une aide financière pour les projets à réaliser dans les régions concernées, qu'il appartient de faire parvenir les crédits aux régions. Quant au comité de suivi de l'objectif n° 1, il lui incombe de juger si l'objectif a été atteint.
