Where sport is partially an economic activity, it is increasingly coming within the remit of Community law. This is true of collective selling of the television rights for major European competitions, the legal provisions governing international transfers of football players, the European strategy for combating doping in conjunction with the World Anti-doping Agency and establishing a minimum level of protection for minors in training at European sports clubs.
