Die CO2-Abscheidung und ‑Speicherung („Carbon Capture and Storage”, CCS) ist ein Komplex von Technologien, mit deren Hilfe das bei der Verbrennung fossiler Brennstoffe entstehende, von Industrieanlagen emittierte Kohlendioxid (CO2) abgespalten, zu einer geeigneten Lagerstätte gebracht und in unterirdischen geologischen Formationen gespeichert wird, um es endgültig aus der Atmosphäre zu entfernen.
