al amount of logged timber coming from Bulgaria
stems from illegal harvesting operations and that the annual allowable cut is exce
eded by 1,5 million cubic metres ...[+++]; therefore, emphasises the need to halt the illegal logging of timber taking place in Bulgaria;
25. drängt Bulgarien, die verbleibenden Rechtsvorschriften zu übernehmen, insbesondere in den Bereichen Binnenmarkt, Gesellschaftsrecht, Umwelt und Verbraucherschutz; ist besorgt über die Praktiken der illegalen Abholzung, die in großem Umfang in Bulgarien stattfinden; bedauert die Tatsache, dass nahezu die Hälfte der gesamten Holzausfuhren aus Bulgarien aus illegalen Einschlägen stammt, und dass die zulässige jährliche Einschlagquote um 1,5 Millionen Kubikmeter überschritten wird; weist deshalb mit Nachdruck auf die Notwendigkeit hin, dem illegalen Abholzen in Bulgarien ein Ende zu setzen;
