The need for a new risk assessment paradigm from a scientific perspective is by now widely recognized[13]. Impacts go beyond the cosmetics sector – the objective is to develop strategies that will lead to better and more predictive, faster and cheaper tools to assess consumer safety of chemical substances.
Die Notwendigkeit eines neuen Risikobewertungsmodells, das die wissenschaftliche Perspektive berücksichtigt, ist mittlerweile allgemein anerkannt.[13] Die Auswirkungen sind auch außerhalb der Kosmetikindustrie spürbar – Ziel ist es, Strategien zu entwickeln, die den Weg zu besseren, zuverlässigeren, schnelleren und billigeren Instrumenten zur Beurteilung der Verbrauchersicherheit chemischer Stoffe ebnen.
