For the time being, we must realize that we are the first generation in the world that, over the course of 20 years, has succeeded in conceiving human beings from material in separate rooms, sometimes kilometres and years apart, without seeing each other, without touching each other, over the Internet, through the mail, through business dealings and sellers of sperm and of eggs, through childbirth contracts or even gestation contracts involving two or three gestational mothers at a time, and of course, two, three or four children.
