Could I ask the minister whether she has had any luck in dealing with her colleagues in cabinet with respect to blocking the transfer of the Shearwater north-south runway to the Canada Lands Company and through them to the Halifax regional municipalities, if for no other reason — and there are certainly a number of reasons, not the least of which is NATO — than to save the Shearwater Air Show, the largest air show in eastern North America?
J'aimerais demander à madame la ministre si elle a réussi à convaincre ses collègues du Cabinet de la nécessité de bloquer le transfert de la piste nord-sud de la base de Shearwater à la Société immobilière du Canada et par ricochet aux municipalités régionales de Halifax, si ce n'est que pour préserver le spectacle aérien de Shearwater, qui est le plus important spectacle aérien dans l'est de l'Amérique du nord, et je suis certain qu'il y a beaucoup d'autres raisons de le faire, l'OTAN n'étant pas la moindre?
