The Council is of the opinion that the focus of the CHM should be on promoting conservation of biodiversity and to help using biodiversity sustainably, paying special attention to scientific data and research on biodiversity, sustainable use technologies in relevant areas yet to be determined by the Conference of the Parties and information on the use of genetic resources.
10. Le Conseil est d'avis que les missions essentielles du centre d'échange devraient être de promouvoir la conservation de la diversité biologique et de contribuer à ce qu'elle soit utilisée de manière durable, en accordant une attention particulière aux données scientifiques et à la recherche sur la diversité biologique, aux technologies permettant une utilisation durable dans des domaines pertinents à déterminer par la CdP et aux informations sur l'utilisation des ressources génétiques.
