The result was that the impact of ozone completely mitigated the increased growth due to CO. That means that, if we had a situation in which ozone levels were higher, which is certainly the case around large cities, then, even if there were the potential for a CO fertilization effect from the CO itself, it may well be offset by other constituents in the atmosphere that are, essentially, air pollution.
