To date, some form of graduated licensing system is in place in six provinces across the country to help reduce the risk of collision for new drivers by requiring them to progress through a tiered or graded licensing process. Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland have programs in place that are a step in the right direction in better preparing new drivers.
