With respect to my hon. colleague's question, it is obvious that as long as this government will not take the necessary steps-and the first one is party financing-to free itself from the hold of Power DirecTv, the Bronfmans and the Seagrams of this world, with or without a code of conduct, it will continue to have its hands tied by these major financial concerns and the lobby of backroom boys.
Par rapport à la question de mon collègue, il est évident que tant et aussi longtemps que ce gouvernement ne prendra pas les mesures fondamentales, et la première, c'est celle des financements des partis politiques, de se détacher de l'emprise des Power DirecTv, des Bronfman, des Seagram et compagnie, ils seront toujours liés, code d'éthique ou non, par ces grandes entreprises financières et par le lobby des réseaux des antichambres.
