Having said that, when I talk about bringing out the worst in parliament I am really talking about the motion the government moved yesterday, Motion No. 8. Because we were in the process of negotiating with the government with respect to the amendment I just mentioned, we decided not to oppose Motion No. 8 in the context of our discussions with the government about trying to get an agreement on the very important amendment we were putting forward.
Cela dit, quand je dis que cela fait ressortir ce qu'il y a de pire au Parlement, je veux parler en réalité de la motion no 8 que le gouvernement a proposée hier. Comme nous étions en train de négocier avec le gouvernement à propos de l'amendement auquel je viens de faire allusion, nous avons décidé de ne pas nous opposer à la motion no 8 dans le contexte de nos discussions avec le gouvernement pour en arriver à une entente sur cet amendement très important que nous proposions.
