With regard to the viability of the Union industry in general, it must be noted that the gradual introduction of various high value products on the market – both within the Union and on markets of third countries – appears to put the long-term competitiveness of the Union industry in a positive perspective, given that the number of producers manufacturing such high quality synthetic fibre ropes is at present limited on the global market.
En ce qui concerne la viabilité de l'industrie de l'Union d'une manière générale, il convient de noter que l'introduction progressive de divers produits de haute qualité sur le marché (aussi bien dans l'Union que sur les marchés des pays tiers) semble placer la compétitivité à long terme de l'industrie de l'Union dans une perspective positive, compte tenu du fait que le nombre de producteurs fabriquant de tels cordages en fibres synthétiques de haute qualité est actuellement limité sur le marché mondial.
