– (IT) Madam President, ladies and gentlemen, on the vote on the common organisation of the market in wine, I should like to point out that I voted for Amendment 294, tabled by Mr Lavarra of the PSE and of which I am co-signatory, because I consider that consumers have the right to know whether saccharose has been added to the wine they are drinking and because product traceability is now a general principle advocated by the Union and I do not see why it should not be applied in the wine sector.
- (IT) Madame la Présidente, Mesdames et Messieurs, s’agissant du vote sur l’organisation commune du marché du vin, je voudrais souligner que j’ai voté pour l’amendement 294, déposé par M. Lavarra du PSE et dont je suis le cosignataire, car j’estime que les consommateurs ont le droit de savoir si du saccharose a été ajouté au vin qu’ils boivent et parce que la traçabilité du produit est désormais un principe général défendu par l’Union. Je ne vois donc pas pourquoi il ne devrait pas s’appliquer au secteur vitivinicole.
