Senator Cools: I would like to state, in support of Senator Andreychuk, that when a matter comes before us, particularly by way of an initiative of an individual senator in the house, my understanding is that routinely, if possible, we begin by hearing from that witness first — that person usually sits as a witness — so that the record can show clearly what the reasons were.
