I say that with confidence, for as a marine pilot on the B.C. coast with 26 years and 3,014 assignments on foreign-going ships under my belt, and from having piloted small Soviet and Polish fishing vessels, to the stately love boats such as the Royal Princess, to the mighty battleship USS Missouri or the massive nuclear aircraft carrier USS Nimitz, there was not a crew on any one of these ships that could top our Canadian seamen.
