In addition, the Committee added new clause 15.1 to allow the Minister, if he or she is of the opinion that a change in the tolls, fees or other charges for the use of an international bridge or tunnel is resulting in adverse effects on the flow of traffic, to, with the approval of the Governor in Council, order the owner or operator of the bridge or tunnel to impose the charges that, in the opinion of the Minister, would not result in adverse effects on the flow of traffic.
Le Comité a aussi ajouté un nouvel article 15.1 suivant lequel le ministre, s’il est d’avis que la modification du droit prévu pour l’usage d’un pont ou tunnel international a pour effet de nuire à la fluidité de la circulation, peut, avec l’agrément du gouverneur en conseil, ordonner au propriétaire ou à l’exploitant de fixer le droit qui, à son avis, n’aurait pas un tel effet.
