The ‘Carciofo Spinoso di Sardegna’ is obtained from the local ‘Spinoso Sardo’ ecotype which belongs to the Cynara scolymus botanical species and is characterised by the following morphological particularities: a medium-size, perennial, rhizomatous plant, with the insertion point of the main head located at a height of between 45 and 70 cm; it is assurgent, highly suitable for pollen production, with staggered production.
L’AOP «Carciofo Spinoso di Sardegna» est obtenue à partir de l’écotype local Spinoso Sardo appartenant à l’espèce Cynara scolymus et se caractérise par les particularités morphologiques suivantes: plante pluriannuelle rhizomateuse de taille moyenne au capitule principal situé à une hauteur allant de 45 à 70 cm, port dressé, capacité pollinifère élevée, production progressive.
