Wir haben der Ukraine ein Assoziierungsabkommen und ein Freihandelsabkommen angeboten, und glücklicherweise hat die Ukraine trotz aller Schwierigkeiten dieses Assoziierungsabkommen unterzeichnet und ratifiziert; und ich möchte dieses Parlament dazu beglückwünschen, dass Sie an dem Tag, als das ukrainische Parlament das Abkommen ratifizierte, dasselbe taten und damit zeigten, dass Sie der Ukraine Hoffnung als Mitglied der Familie europäischer Länder bieten können.
We offered Ukraine an association agreement and a free trade agreement and I am happy that, in spite of all the difficulties, Ukraine was there, signing and ratifying the association agreement, and I want to congratulate this Parliament, because the same day at the same hour the Parliament in Ukraine was ratifying this agreement, you were also ratifying the agreement showing you can offer hope to Ukraine as part of the European family of nations.
