Das bei der Klassifizierung von Flugzeugen nach Kategorien zugrunde zu legende Kriterium ist die über der Schwelle angezeigte Fluggeschwindigkeit (VAT), die dem 1,3fachen der Überziehgeschwindigkeit (VSO) oder dem 1,23fachen der Überziehgeschwindigkeit in Landekonfiguration bei höchstzulässiger Landemasse (VS1G) entspricht.
