Diese Grenzwerte gelten als eingehalten, wenn das PAC-Extrakt weniger als 3 Masseprozent beträgt – gemessen gemäß der Norm IP346:1998 des Institute of Petroleum (Bestimmung der polyzyklischen Aromate in nicht verwendeten Schmierölen und asphaltenfreien Erdölfraktionen – Dimethylsulfoxid-Extraktion-Brechungsindex-Methode) –, sofern die Einhaltung der Grenzwerte für BaP und für die aufgeführten PAK sowie die Korrelation der Messwerte mit dem PAC-Extrakt vom Hersteller oder Importeur alle sechs Monate bzw. nach jeder größeren Änderung der Betriebsverfahren überprüft werden, wobei jeweils der frühere Zeitpunkt maßgeblich ist.
These limits are regarded as kept, if the PCA extract is less than 3% by mass, as measured by the Institute of Petroleum standard IP346:1998 (Determination of polycyclic aromatics in unused lubricating base oils and asphaltene free petroleum fractions – Dimethyl sulphoxide extraction refractive index method), provided that compliance with the limit values of BaP and of the listed PAHs, as well as the correlation of the measured values with the PCA extract, is controlled by the manufacturer or importer every 6 months or after each major operational change, whichever is earliest.
