2. bedauert, dass Mugabe trotz der regionalen und internationalen Kritik und der Tatsache, dass er seit 27 Jahren regiert, mit 83 Jahren noch einmal vom Zentralkomitee als Präsidentschaftskandidat der Zanu-PF-Partei für die Wahlen 2008 aufgestellt wurde, und dass bereits eine Einschüchterungskampagne läuft, um die Strukturen der Opposition und der Zivilgesellschaft zu zerstören und das Ergebnis der parlamentarischen und Präsidentschaftswahlen von vornherein sicherzustellen;

Deplores the fact that, despite regional and international criticism and a 27-year rule, Mr Mugabe, who is 83 years old, was again endorsed as Zanu-PF's candidate for President in 2008 by its central committee and that a campaign of intimidation is already taking place in order to destroy the structures of the opposition and civil society and to ensure the result of the parliamentary and presidential elections;
