However, following on from what was said by the two speakers who came before me – and with whom I disagree – I must say that the fact that Europe, and the European Union in particular, is making human rights its banner – in fact its only banner – is a marvellous thing.
Aber lassen Sie mich anknüpfend an die Ausführungen meiner beiden Vorredner – mit denen ich nicht einverstanden bin – sagen, daß die Tatsache, daß Europa, und insbesondere die Europäische Union, die Menschenrechte an ihr Banner heftet, an ihr wahrhaft einzigartiges Banner, etwas Großartiges hat.
