It has since also been shown that not only embryonic stem cells but also adult stem cells, e.g. those from the bone marrow, can be transformed into various brain and nerve cells, e.g. in the dopaminergic cells which are of potential use in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease (see diagram 2)
Außerdem ist mittlerweile erwiesen, dass sich nicht nur embryonale Stammzellen, sondern auch adulte Stammzellen, z.B. aus dem Knochenmark, in verschiedene Gehirn- und Nervenzellen, z.B. in die dopaminergen Zellen, die zur Behandlung von Parkinson in Frage kommen, umwandeln zu können (siehe Grafik 2)
