2. Highlights the economic opportunities and the variety of industries in the European Arctic and sub-Arctic regions, in particular tourism, maritime industry and shipping, renewable energy, environmental technology and cleantech, gas and oil, offshore industry, forestry and wood-based industries, mining, transport services and communications, information technology and e-solutions, fishing and aquaculture, and agriculture and traditional livelihoods such as reindeer herding; recognises their impact and importance both in the region and in Europe as a whole;
2. verweist auf die wirtschaftlichen Möglichkeiten und die unterschiedlichen Wirtschaftszweige in der europäischen Arktis und Subarktis, insbesondere den Tourismus, das Seeverkehrsgewerbe, erneuerbare Energieträger, Umwelttechnologie und saubere Technologie, Erdgas und Erdöl, die Offshore-Industrie, die Forst- und Holzwirtschaft, den Bergbau, Verkehrsdienstleistungen und Kommunikation, Informationstechnologien und E-Lösungen, Fischerei und Aquakultur sowie landwirtschaftliche und traditionelle Tätigkeiten wie die Rentierhaltung; würdigt deren Auswirkungen und Bedeutung sowohl vor Ort als auch in ganz Europa;
