The first annual meetings were held from 5 to 8 November and the Commission was able to discuss in depth with the managing authorities the critical points of implementation, the appropriateness of the administrative and operational structures of the managing and paying authorities, implementation in the time allowed by the CSF of the regional strategies in several fields such as transport, the information society, research and innovation, the environment and improved monitoring and inspection systems.
Die ersten jährlichen Sitzungen fanden am 5. und 8. November 2001 statt und gaben der Kommission Gelegenheit, mit den Verwaltungsbehörden einige kritische Punkte der Durchführung ausführlich zu erörtern. Dabei ging es insbesondere um die Anpassung der administrativen und operativen Strukturen bei den Verwaltungsbehörden und Zahlstellen, um die Aufstellung von regionalen Strategien in Bereichen wie Verkehr, Informationsgesellschaft, Forschung und Entwicklung sowie Umwelt innerhalb der im GFK vorgesehenen Fristen sowie um die Verstärkung der Begleit- und Kontrollsysteme.
