This cooperation involves, in particular, establishing the whereabouts of the cultural objects at the request of the requesting State, notification of the discovery of cultural objects in the territory of Member States, verification by the requesting state of the nature of the object on the territory of other Member States, adoption of all measures necessary for the material conservation of the cultural object and the adoption of provisional measures to avoid the cultural object falling outside the scope of the return procedure.
Diese Zusammenarbeit betrifft insbesondere Nachforschungen nach Kulturgütern auf Antrag des ersuchenden Mitgliedstaats, die Unterrichtung der betroffenen Mitgliedstaaten im Falle des Auffindens eines Kulturgutes in ihrem Hoheitsgebiet, die Überprüfung des betreffenden Guts durch den ersuchendenden Mitgliedstaat im Hoheitsgebiet anderer Mitgliedstaaten, den Erlaß der für die physische Erhaltung des Kulturguts notwendigen Maßnahmen und den Erlaß der vorläufigen Maßnahmen, die erforderlich sind, um zu verhindern, daß das Kulturgut dem Rückgabeverfahren entzogen wird.
