The online tool referred to in Article 4b(1) of Directive 2005/36/EC shall provide for a possibility for the applicant to fill in all necessary information related to the EPC application referred to in Article 4 of this Regulation, to upload the copies of documents required for issuance of the EPC under Article 10(1) of this Regulation and to receive any information on the progress in processing of his EPC application online, including on the payments to be made.

[2] In order to reduce the costs caused by validation requirements, in 2000 the EPC Contracting States adopted the so-called "London Agreement" (Agreement on the application of Article 65 EPC, OJ EPO 2001, 550) which is currently in force in eleven EU Member States and results in reduced translation requirements.
