The European Union is deeply worried about the most recent attacks against the independent media in Kazakhstan, which include the repeated vandalising of TAN TV feeder cable in Almaty, the 3 May arson attack against the "Ak Zhaiy " publishing house in Atyrau, the aggression against two journalists of the newspaper "SolDat" on 21 May followed by the destruction of its equipment, and the firebomb attack against the offices of the newspaper "Delovoye Obozreniye-Respublika" on 22 May, which, furthermore, risked the lives of many people in the same building.
Die Europäische Union ist tief besorgt über die jüngsten Angriffe auf die unabhängigen Medien in Kasachstan, wie die wiederholte Zerstörung des Stromversorgungskabels des Fernsehsenders TAN in Almaty, die Brandstiftung im Verlagshaus "Ak Zhaiy" in Atyrau am 3. Mai, der Überfall auf zwei Journalisten der Zeitung "SolDat" am 21. Mai, bei dem auch die Redaktionseinrichtung zerstört wurde, sowie das Bombenattentat auf die Büros der Zeitung "Delovoye Obozreniye-Respublika" am 22. Mai, bei dem überdies das Leben vieler Menschen gefährdet wurde, die sich im selben Gebäude befanden.
