These commonalities offer opportunities for early co-development, in particular by SMEs, of technologies across space and non-space communities, including non-space industries, potentially resulting in breakthrough innovations more rapidly than achieved in spin-offs at a later stage. Exploitation of existing European space infrastructure should be stimulated by promoting the development of innovative products and services based on remote sensing, geo-positioning or other types of satellite enabled data.
Aus diesen Gemeinsamkeiten ergeben sich Chancen für eine frühzeitige partnerschaftliche Technologieentwicklung – insbesondere unter Beteiligung von KMU – durch Raumfahrt- und Nichtraumfahrtkreise, einschließlich die Nichtraumfahrtindustrie, die schneller zu bahnbrechenden Innovationen führen kann, als es durch spätere Unternehmensausgliederungen möglich ist. Die Nutzung bestehender europäischer Weltrauminfrastrukturen sollte durch die Förderung der Entwicklung innovativer Produkte und Dienste angeregt werden, die auf Fernerkundungs-, Ortungs- oder anderen satellitengestützten Daten basieren.
