The Commissioner will not be offended, because he was sitting with us in the committee when Malcolm Harbour came up with the internal market initiative, an initiative which re-opened the whole debate on the internal market, and everyone – regardless of their political affiliations, whether socialist, green, liberal or from the European Conservatives and Reformists themselves – I would say almost everyone, supported this idea, which is why I want to mention the name of Malcolm Harbour.
Der Herr Kommissar wird nicht gekränkt sein, weil auch er mit uns im Ausschuss saß, als Malcom Harbour mit der Binnenmarktinitiative aufwartete, einer Initiative, welche die ganze Debatte über den Binnenmarkt wiederaufgerollt hat, und jeder – ungeachtet der politischen Zugehörigkeit, seien es Sozialisten, Grüne, Liberale oder von den Europäischen Konservativen und Reformisten selbst – ich würde sagen, fast jeder hat diese Idee unterstützt, und deshalb möchte ich Herrn Malcom Harbour erwähnen.
