Aid for RDI will primarily be justified on the basis of Articles 107(3)(b) and 107(3)(c) of the Treaty, according to which the Commission may consider compatible with the internal market State aid to promote the execution of an important project of common European interest or to facilitate the development of certain economic activities within the Union, where such aid does not adversely affect trading conditions to an extent which goes contrary to the common interest.
Beihilfen für FuEuI werden in erster Linie auf der Grundlage des Artikels 107 Absatz 3 Buchstaben b und c AEUV zulässig sein, denen zufolge die Kommission staatliche Beihilfen zur Förderung wichtiger Vorhaben von gemeinsamem europäischen Interesse oder zur Förderung der Entwicklung bestimmter Wirtschaftszweige in der Union als mit dem Binnenmarkt vereinbar erklären kann, soweit diese die Handelsbedingungen nicht in einer Weise verändern, die dem gemeinsamen Interesse zuwiderläuft.
