11. Is strongly of the view that an effective and cost-efficient administrative system for the Eur
opean Union must be equipped with the necessary level of resources; awaits with interest the results of the screening exercise being carried out by the Commission services on the Commission's real staff needs that is due to be presented on 30 April 2007; is convinced that this screening of Commission staff is a key exercise allowing the Commission t
o identify its real potential and to provide more staff for the new political priorities
