Supposing that people believe - which I do not – that private cars are a means of sustainable development for the 21st century, particularly for our European cities, it is all the same astounding to note, when we know that environmentally-friendly cars will have to have a hybrid engine, like the Toyota Prius model, for the next 25 years, that European manufacturers are still lagging behind in this area.
Angenommen, Privatwagen gelten bei Bürgern als Faktor einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung im 21. Jahrhundert, insbesondere für unsere europäischen Städte – was ich nicht so sehe –, so ist es in dem Wissen, dass ein umweltverträgliches Auto für die nächsten 25 Jahre mit einem Hybridmotor ausgestattet sein muss, wie das Toyota-Modell Prius, doch verblüffend festzustellen, dass die europäischen Hersteller auf diesem Gebiet noch nicht so weit sind.
