Biodegradability of polymers: In Spring 2005, and encouraged by the Commission, a consortium of manufacturers has voluntarily committed themselves to using environment-friendly polymers in the packaging sector (e.g. for plastic bags, cups, plant pots or wraps) and thereby guaranteeing an efficient biodegradability standard for their products.
Biologische Abbaubarkeit von Polymeren: Im Frühjahr 2005 hat sich mit Unterstützung der Kommission ein Herstellerkonsortium freiwillig zur Verwendung umweltneutraler Polymere in der Verpackungsindustrie (z. B. für Tüten, Tassen, Blumentöpfe oder Packpapier aus Kunststoff) verpflichtet und dadurch einen effizienten Standard für die biologische Abbaubarkeit ihrer Produkte geschaffen.
