Due to the problems that have arisen for the EU agricultural sector following the Russian ban and to the restrictions imposed by China on Korean exports as sanctions against the deployment of the THAAD defence systems, both the EU and Korea need access to new markets and in this context, the EU-Korea FTA has already proved to be mutually beneficial.
Aufgrund der Probleme, die einerseits für die EU-Landwirtschaft aufgrund des russischen Einfuhrverbots und andererseits für Korea wegen der Beschränkungen entstanden sind, die China als Sanktion gegen die Stationierung des Raketenabwehrsystems THAAD gegen koreanische Ausfuhren verhängt hat, brauchen sowohl die EU als auch Korea Zugang zu neuen Märkten.
