The filing and payment of VAT is systematically monitored by most Member States, however, modern and automatic follow-up processes for late (or non-)filing and payment (e.g. automatic reminders, immediate estimated assessment in case of non-filing) are lacking in a significant number of them (AT, BE, BG, CY, CZ, DE, EE, ES, FI, FR, HU, IT, LV, LT, NL, PL, PT, RO, SE, SI and SK).

B. automatische Mahnungen, umgehende Schätzung im Fall von nicht erfolgten Abgaben).
