Against this background, it is extremely important that Slovakia's fiscal policy contributes to a reduction in the current account deficit and that Slovakia complies strictly with fiscal consolidation commitments (for example, as expressed in Slovakia's pre-accession economic programme submitted to the Commission last year).
Vor diesem Hintergrund ist es besonders wichtig, dass die Steuerpolitik der Slowakei zu einer Senkung des Leistungsbilanzdefizits beiträgt und dass die Slowakei ihren Verpflichtungen im Bereich finanzielle Konsolidierung strikt nachkommt (beispielsweise gemäß dem Wirtschaftsprogramm zur Heranführung der Slowakei, das der Kommission 2001 vorgelegt wurde).
