Another activity is the development, alongside aerial monitoring, of a satellite imaging service that will make it possible to detect pollution and thus to help the Member States to combat the illegal dumping and accidental spillage of hydrocarbons.
Eine weitere Tätigkeit besteht darin, zusätzlich zur Luftüberwachung ein Satellitenbild-Servicezentrum aufzubauen, um die Erkennung von Verschmutzungen zu ermöglichen und die Mitgliedstaaten damit in ihrem Kampf gegen illegale und unfallbedingte Öleinleitungen zu unterstützen.
