The oxidation performed by the catalysts of IBIDEN HU DPF substrate serves the purpose of providing sufficient temperatures for the burning of the soot, but it does not have the same purification effect as a full-function DOC. As has been pointed out in the submissions from the interested parties, the so-called multi-functional product by IBIDEN HU does not eliminate the need for a separate DOC in the exhaust gas treatment system.
Die Oxidation, die durch die von IBIDEN HU hergestellten Katalysatoren des DPF-Substrates erzeugt wird, soll die entsprechende Temperatur für die Verbrennung des Rußes sicherzustellen, sie besitzt nicht die Reinigungswirkung eines vollwertigen Katalysators. Wie die Beteiligten in ihren Eingaben hervorhoben, erübrigt sich durch das sogenannte Multifunktionsprodukt der IBIDEN HU ein separater Katalysator im Abgasnachbehandlungssystem nicht.
