(b) securing the long-term future and development of the so-called livestock and crop diversification sectors in the outermost regions, including the production, processing and the sale of local products, while at the same time significantly improving the local population’s degree of self-sufficiency by increasing domestic production and reducing imports, in particular on account of the higher transport-related costs;
(b) dauerhafte Erhaltung und nachhaltige Entwicklung der Sektoren, in denen eine Diversifizierung der Tier- und Pflanzennutzung in den Regionen in äußerster Randlage erfolgt, einschließlich der Produktion, der Verarbeitung und der Vermarktung lokaler Erzeugnisse, wobei die Selbstversorgung der ortsansässigen Bevölkerung mit eigenen Erzeugnissen deutlich verbessert werden soll und Einfuhren, vor allem wegen der transportbedingten Mehrkosten, verringert werden sollen;
