Weiter sagte Vizepräsident Frattini: “Unser gemeinsames Konzept führt die wichtigsten Politikbereiche zusammen, beginnend mit der Notwendigkeit von Sofortmaßnahmen insbesondere mit dem Ziel einer wirksameren Sicherung der EU-Seegrenzen, über die Bekämpfung der grundlegenden Migrationsursachen, wie Armut, Mangel an Arbeitsplätzen, fehlende wirtschaftliche Perspektiven, Konflikte und schlechte Staatsführung, bis hin zur Verbesserung der Integration und sozialen Eingliederung, der Förderung des interkulturellen Dialogs, Gesundheitsfragen, Maßnahmen zur Arbeitsmigration und Bekämpfung der illegalen Beschäftigung von Einwanderern.
