Concrete effort needs to be made to achieve this objective, in particular with respect to energy saving in the transport sector, the development of minimum efficiency requirements for energy-using appliances, awareness-raising amongst consumers about sensible and economic energy use, improving the efficiency of the production, transport and distribution of heating and electricity and also developing energy technologies and improving the energy performance of buildings.
Dafür müssen konkrete Anstrengungen unternommen werden, so insbesondere Energieeinsparungen im Bereich Verkehr, die Entwicklung von Mindeststandards für energieverbrauchende Geräte und Anlagen, die Sensibilisierung der Energieverbraucher für ein rationelleres und sparsameres Verhalten, der verbesserte Wirkungsgrad bei der Erzeugung, beim Transport und der Verteilung von Wärme und Strom, aber auch die Entwicklung neuer Energietechnologien und von Gebäuden mit sparsamer Energiebilanz.
