Takes note of the significant potential provided by plants such as elephant grass and jethropa for the production of bio-fuels – not least because of the fact that these species grow well on marginal lands and need little water – and calls on the Commission, the Council and partner countries to support efforts to develop this potential further;
7. nimmt zur Kenntnis, dass Pflanzen wie Elefantengras und Jatropha ein erhebliches Potenzial für die Erzeugung von Biokraftstoffen haben, nicht zuletzt deshalb, weil diese Pflanzen auf schlechten Böden gedeihen und wenig Wasser brauchen, und fordert die Kommission, den Rat und die Partnerländer auf, die Bemühungen um die Entwicklung dieses Potenzials zu unterstützen;
