The project is co-financed by the AfDB, KfW and the World Bank, and receives significant grant support from the EU-Africa Infrastructure Trust Fund (ITF), a European initiative for blending loan and grant financing of African infrastructure projects.
Das Projekt wird von der Afrikanischen Entwicklungsbank, der KfW und der Weltbank kofinanziert und erhält erhebliche Zuschussmittel vom Treuhandfonds für die Infrastrukturpartnerschaft EU-Afrika. Bei letzterem handelt es sich um eine europäische Initiative zur Finanzierung von Infrastrukturprojekten in Afrika, bei der Darlehen und Zuschüsse kombiniert werden.
