The rapporteur favours the application of a single set of standards to all fruit juices and related products marketed in the EU, and draws particular attention to harmless practices such as the addition of mandarin juice to orange juice, which not only intensifies the colour and flavour but in some cases responds to demand from certain categories of consumer.
