The innovative technology is an automatic gearbox intelligent control strategy that allows the possibility of a driving mode during which the vehicle runs while the combustion engine is decoupled from the wheels (i.e. the clutch is disengaged). During the coasting driving mode, the engine idles but the functioning of auxiliary equipment (e.g. generator, compressor, water pump) is ensured. In addition, when ‘coasting’, the kinetic and potential energy of the vehicle is directly used to overcome driving resistance and, as consequence, to decrease fuel consumption.
Bei der innovativen Technologie handelt es sich um eine intelligente Steuerung des Automatikgetriebes, die einen Fahrbetrieb ermöglicht, bei dem das Fahrzeug fährt, während der Verbrennungsmotor von den Rädern abgekoppelt ist (d. h., die Kupplung ist nicht betätigt). Darüber hinaus wird beim „Segeln“ die kinetische und potenzielle Energie des Fahrzeugs direkt genutzt, um den Fahrwiderstand zu überwinden und somit den Kraftstoffverbrauch zu verringern.
