Calls on the Commission to equip the aquaculture sector with a real economic instrument for use in the event of a crisis and to devise support systems to mitigate the effects of biological natural disasters (like toxic algal blooms) or man-made disasters (like the Erika or Prestige catastrophes), while making sure that this does not become an operating subsidy;
28. fordert die Kommission auf, die Aquakulturbranche mit einem regelrechten wirtschaftlichen Instrument für Krisenfälle auszustatten und Systeme zur Unterstützung bei natürlichen biologischen (Phytoplanktonblüten) und nicht natürlichen Katastrophen (Tankerunfälle Erika oder Prestige) auszuarbeiten und dabei zu vermeiden, dass sich dies in einer Betriebsbeihilfe niederschlägt;
