For example, it is clear under the Directive of 14 December 1992 that VAT is not chargeable on the purchase value of the boat but on its used value, which limits the amount of VAT payable for boats bought in earlier years (c) Mrs Scrivener announced that at her request, the procedures for implementing the new rules would be examined at the next meeting of the VAT Committee, to be held on 5 and 6 July in Brussels. Among other matters, steps might be taken to find a clearer definition of the status of these boats, in cases where they are used for business activities.

Dezember 1992 klar hervor, daß sich die Mehrwertsteuer nicht nach dem Kaufpreis des Bootes, sondern nach seinem Gebrauchswert bemißt, so daß sich die geschuldete Mehrwertsteuer für Schiffe, die im Laufe der letzten Jahre erworben wurden, verringert. c) Frau Scrivener kündigte an, daß sich der Mehrwertsteuerausschuß auf ihre Bitte hin in seiner nächsten Sitzung, die am 5. und 6. Juli in Brüssel stattfinden wird, mit den Anwendungsmodalitäten der neuen Regelung befassen wird.
