La télévision polonaise (TVP Info) a annoncé le 9 juillet que M. Karl Soukup, représentant de la Commission européenne pour les chantiers navals polonais, avait, lors d'une rencontre avec l'un des investisseurs norvégiens, la société Ulstein Verft, conseillé à ses représentants d'attendre la faillite, inévitable, du chantier naval de Szczecin pour racheter à ce moment-là l'actif de cette faillite.
On 9 July 2008, Polish television (TVP Info) reported that Karl Soukuep, Commission representative responsible for Polish shipyards, during a meeting with one of the Norwegian investors, Ulstein Verft, had advised representatives of that company to await the inevitable bankruptcy of the Szczecin shipyard in order to purchase its estate.
